Corpus Christi Meteorological Monitoring

The City of Corpus Christi Water Department and the Conrad Blucher Institute have been monitoring weather conditions throughout the city of Corpus Christi since 2012 in order to gain a better understanding of the effects weather conditions will have on the watershed and water distribution system. Six meteorological monitoring stations located throughout the city of Corpus Christi report precipitation data which assists city technician sampling efforts by providing real-time updates during rain events. Other parameters monitored include wind direction, wind speed, barometric pressure, relative humidity, and air temperature.
